Mr.
Ravi Teja Kanapuram from New Jersey, USA completed a two week long
internship program at IRS Fateh Nagar, Hyderabad from 5-19 August,
2008. The classes he handled were VII, VIII and IX. The new
techniques that help learning Mathematics and General Science
introduced were a hit. The interactive method that he used to teach
attracted the students and gave them a chance to ascertain their
good communication skills. For the students of IRS, it was more of
learning through fun and also an opportunity to meet a new friend.

My
First Experience at IRS
“As
I walked through the large metal gates and entered ICFAI Republic
School on my first day, I had mixed feelings about the next fortnight
during which I would be teaching. It was clearly evident that the
children were excited about me teaching them for two weeks. As I was
leaving school on the first day, I was anxious to come back the next
day. Fortunately, I was able to teach the topics that I was given in
Biology and Mathematics comfortably. I taught the children mnemonic
devices. Moreover, I taught the kids some short cuts and gave them
helpful tips in Mathematics. I was very privileged to have witnessed
the Independence Day celebrations at IRS because we do not celebrate
this way in the US. I was absolutely stunned by all the performances.
My experience at IRS was phenomenal. I will never forget all the
administrators, teachers and students whom I met. I will surely come
back and visit next time I come to India.”
