Welcome to IRS
About IRS IRS

IRS follows the syllabus prescribed by the NCERT at lower classes and the State Board in the higher classes. The teachers carefully analyze the syllabus and provide supplementary lessons wherever required. The subjects taught from Class I to II are English, I Language and Mathematics. For Classes III to V, Environmental Studies is also taught. The activity-based methodology we follow in primary level makes the learning fun and easy for the students. It also facilitates quick learning and helps students understand the basic concepts clearly.

The subjects covered in the High School are English, Hindi, regional language, Physical Sciences, Biology and Mathematics. After the teaching classes the students are given opportunity to explore the subjects further themselves in the library period. The books available at the school library are well utilized by the students and the information gathered is discussed in the classroom in the presence of the teacher.

Parallel to the school library, we have ‘Books-on–Line’; a system that gives an opportunity to the students to read books in the class itself during the recess. To detail, a limited number of books is hung on a wire in the classroom which the students have access to in their leisure time. The computer lab is open for the students from Class I. IRS students learn more by doing. The higher-class students take up projects in computers and in different subjects.

Academics of the students is well taken care of. Students who need extra help with their studies are identified and individual plans for each child are prepared to help them come up in academics – this is the ‘Focus Learning’ system put in place by IRS. Lessons are supplemented with audio visual learning, occasional field trips, exhibitions, and competitions such as debates and quizzes.

Our emphasis is also on extra-curricular activities, as this is where children pick up life skills and confidence. We have daily extra curricular activities and regularly we organize cultural programs and competitions in literary, sports and events.
