Stand up Against Poverty

'Stand Against Poverty and for Millennium Development Goals' was coordinated by the United Nations Millennium Campaign, the Art of Living Foundation and the Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP).

4909 IRS students and staff made history when they participated in this movement, calling on our elected leaders to achieve and exceed the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015 and put an end to poverty and inequality.

Over 116 million people, nearly two percent of the world's population, in 110 countries, participated in this event, creating a Guinness record.
